Envision Lakewood 2040 Comprehensive Plan

The Envision Lakewood 2040 Comprehensive Plan is an important citywide document and tool that articulates the vision, values, and priorities for the future of Lakewood.

The Plan was developed based on input from thousands of Lakewood community members and will guide staff and City leaders to make decisions that reflect the community vision and values.

On April 23, 2025, the Lakewood Planning Commission unanimously adopted the Plan and on July 28, 2025, the Lakewood City Council unanimously approved the Plan.

Thank you to the thousands of community members who participated in the process by sharing your stories and perspectives on Comprehensive Plan topics, providing specific feedback through surveys, subscribing to the newsletter, attending events, and more! Your input has helped capture the shared vision, values, and priorities for Lakewood within the Plan!
