In 2018, the City entered into a 10-year lease agreement with Denver Water to improve and open to the public .8 acres of the site along Quail St. for park uses. The City built a new playground for the neighborhood following a public engagement process. In 2023, the City acquired the entire 9.06 acres of land, formally Denver Water property.

Future public engagement opportunities will determine any development of the site. Currently the site is maintained as open space with an existing walking trail.
