11050 W. 20th Street In 2018, the City entered into a 10-year lease agreement with Denver Water to improve and open to the public .8 acres of the site along Quail St. for park uses. The City built a new playground for the neighborhood following a public engagement process. In 2023, the City acquired the entire 9.06 acres of land, formally Denver Water property.
2911 S. Wadsworth Acquisition The Community Resources Department has purchased 1.5 acres of property located at 2911 S. Wadsworth Blvd to expand the Bear Creek Greenbelt. The property is the remainder of one of the original Bear Creek Greenbelt acquisitions in 1975.
Armstrong Property Acquisition Lakewood City Council has approved a resolution declaring the intent to purchase 6.92 acres of land adjacent to the Bear Creek Greenbelt for open space and park purposes.
