Lakewood conducted its first community survey in 2000, so this 2025 survey marks the 11th iteration of the Community Survey.

Probolsky Research conducted the 2025 Community Survey from May 2 to May 29, 2025. Unlike previous years that relied solely on mail outreach to contact a random selection of Lakewood residents to take the survey, the 2025 survey employed a multipronged approach that included phone calls, emails, text messages and mailed invitations to reach a random selection of Lakewood residents. This approach increased participation and better reflects the city’s diverse adult population by matching the city’s demographics in age, gender, ethnicity, education, homeowners/renters and household income.

The results from this survey are statistically valid, which means they are accurate and reliable and are not based on chance or a flaw. This allows robust conclusions to be drawn from the results.

The city also provided an open-link survey for anyone to take from May 29 to June 29, 2025. While the results from the open-link survey are not statistically valid, the open-link results showed broadly similar themes to the statistically valid survey.

Other way to communicate
