Lakewood Earth Day History

In 2009-2011, Lakewood coordinated an Earth Day Expo for city staff. From 2012-2025, Lakewood hosted an Earth Day Celebration for the public at Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park. Starting in 2026 we are shifting to support other local Earth Day events and to expand Lakewood’s Sustainable Neighborhood Program.

Bear Creek Lake Park Earth Day Volunteer Event

Celebrate Earth Day by getting involved with your local parks! Each year, volunteers assist staff with a project to help keep Lakewood's parks clean and beautiful. See more information and register for the volunteer event.
