Alameda and Utah Pedestrian Improvements

Project Location: Intersection of Alameda Parkway and Utah Avenue, and north side of Alameda Parkway between Utah Avenue and the Green Mountain trailhead.

Project Description: For the first phase of this project, the City’s contractor will be installing a sidewalk on the north side of Alameda Parkway between Utah Avenue and the Green Mountain trailhead. For the second phase, the contractor will be installing a signalized pedestrian crossing and pedestrian refuge island on Alameda Parkway at Utah Avenue.

Anticipated Project Timeline: Summer 2025 through Winter 2025

August Update:

  • Construction has started for installing a sidewalk on the north side of Alameda Parkway between Utah Avenue and the Green Mountain trailhead. Preliminary construction activities include grading and earthwork.
  • Temporary lane closures and pedestrian detours are anticipated during construction. No roadway closures are expected as part of this project.
  • The Utah trailhead will have periodic closures when work is being performed within and adjacent to the trailhead.
