The Youth Educational Tour (YET) program is conducted on a quarterly basis on the first Wednesday of March, June, September and December, from 5:30 p.m., to 7:30 p.m. Program participants presently include Jefferson County Public Schools, Red Rocks Community College, the American Job Center, Lakewood Recreation Centers, Jefferson Center and the Jefferson County Public Health Department.
Each presenting agency presents an overview of services and highlights of their program(s) for approximately 15-20 minutes. After the overview is completed, individual program “breakouts” occur where youth/parents will be able to discuss the highlights of a specific program as well as the benefits of a youth’s participation in that program.
Each youth participating in the YET program will have a “passport”. This “passport” is required to be stamped or signed by the representative from each partner after asking them at least one question.
This program is open to the general public and is FREE.
