While the Probation Department supervises a variety of charged adult defendants, our continued priority in terms of resources and training needs remains focused on defendants charged with domestic violence (DV).

Strategies we use to supervise this population include:

  • Mandatory court appearances.
  • Monthly check-ins for “level C” assessed DV defendants.
  • Maintaining an active role in the DV Multi-Disciplinary Treatment Team (MTT) process.
  • Setting periodic court reviews to monitor compliance of lower level offenders.
