Walk a Monday mile and you could win! Start your year on an active note and get moving on Mondays. Each time you participate and log your mile below, you'll be entered into a drawing for Lakewood Recreation gift cards.

How it works:

  1. Get active! Each Monday from January 4-February 8, walk, roll, or move in place for a mile - or as much as you're able to.
  2. Log your mile by completing the form below. Entries are due by midnight on Monday.
  3. That's it! For every week you log, you'll be entered into the drawing.

Where should you walk?

Lakewood is home to over 100 parks, many with both paved and unpaved trails. We've chosen a park each week for you to explore!

WEEK ONE: Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park

Located at 801 S Yarrow St. View map
Directions: Once you park at the Visitor Center, make your way up to the lake, located northwest of the center. Do a lap all the way around the lake, back to the parking lot, and you will have earned your Monday Mile. 

WEEK TWO: Kendrick Lake Park 

Located at 9351 W Jewell Ave. View map
Directions: Make one lap around the lake and you will have earned your Monday Mile. 

WEEK THREE: Addenbrooke Park

Located at 600 S Kipling Pkwy. View map
Directions: Make a lap around the pond and the soccer fields, and you will have successfully completed your Monday Mile. 

WEEK FOUR: O'Kane Park

Located at 7101 W 1st Ave.
Directions: Make one full lap around the park to complete your Monday Mile.

WEEK FIVE: Morse Park

Directions: Complete one full lap around the park and you will have earned your Monday Mile. 

WEEK SIX: Bear Creek Greenbelt

Located at 2800 S Estes St. View map
Directions: Starting at the Stone House, head east and walk along the south side of the bass pond. Continue on along the north side of the next pond. Once you reach the east end of the second pond you will have walked half a mile. You could turn back the way you came or make this week a longer walk since there are many great trail options to follow!
