Strength Training Classes

A strength training BodyPump class takes place.

Strength training classes not only help you build and maintain muscle — they assist with balance, endurance and overall physical health. Lakewoood Recreation offers classes like TRX, HIIT, circuit training, as well as Les Mills BODYPUMP and Core.

You must pre-register for all classes.

BODYPUMP  is one of the fastest ways you'll get in shape. You'll challenge all major muscle groups as you squat, press, lift and curl. Enjoy great music, energy and new choreography every season.


  1. Purchase a pass online or pay as you go. A 10-class pass is $60. One-time drop-in cost is $8.
  2. Register for the classes you want to attend.

Les Mills Core

New name, same class: CXWORX is now Les Mills Core.

This class is an intense 30 minute core-training workout designed to tighten and tone your midsection. Using mostly body weight, it challenges balance, coordination and functional strength.


Les Mills Core is a general admission class; just pre-register online before attending.

TRX, HIIT and Circuit

Commit to get fit by signing up for a strength series class, like TRX or HIIT. Pick one based on your interest and ability and see what results you can achieve!

Most classes are six weeks long and meet at various locations. Classes include Strength Training for Runners, Strength in Numbers, TRX and HIIT.
