National Public Lands Day

This event takes place Sept. 28.

Celebrate the largest national day of volunteer service dedicated to public lands. This volunteer project is part of an effort to keep Lakewood beautiful and takes place in a Lakewood park each year.

The volunteer day will take place on Saturday, September 28 from 8 a.m.-noon at the Bear Creek Lake Park. Volunteers will assist with projects at Fisherman’s Trail by the Boat Ramp working to mitigate damage from flooding and replanting the area. Lunch and a light breakfast will be provided.
