Carmody Park Universal Playground

Carmody Park truly has something for everyone!

The park is home to the city's biggest, brightest and most innovate universal playground, picnic shelters, several play fields, trails and a pond surrounded by mature cottonwoods and frequented by waterfowl.

Bathrooms

Permanent bathrooms at Carmody Park are open year-round except for Carmody's family restroom, which will close for the season October 15.

2024 Shelter Reservations

Shelter reservations for 2024 are now available. 2025 reservations will be available beginning January 2, 2025 at 10 a.m. MST.

Universal Playground

In 2017, the city completed a renovation of the park playground and opened the city’s first universal playground.

It is an imaginative place that stimulates creative play and healthy physical activity, and includes features such as mounds, ramps and structures that children of all ages and abilities can play in.

Outdoor Fitness Zone

The Fitness Zone is an area where patrons can come to get physical activity while enjoying the beautiful Carmody Park. It is strategically placed so that patrons will be able to supervise their children at the playground while simultaneously getting in a workout.

The equipment was selected so that everyone, regardless of fitness level, will be able to get an effective workout. Focus areas include cardiovascular fitness, resistance training and core/ab work. Some of the equipment is also wheelchair accessible.

Watch the video to view a beginner, intermediate and advanced workout demonstration by a certified fitness instructor. Use the icon in the top left corner of the video screen to select a different video in the three part series.
