Beer and Liquor Licensing - Renewals

The Liquor Enforcement Division of the Colorado Department of Revenue mails renewal applications approximately 90 days before the license expires.  The City of Lakewood will also mail a renewal letter and updated emergency contact form to fill out. 

The renewal application must be filed with the City Clerk’s Office prior to expiration or a late filing fee of $1,000 will be assessed ($500 to the City and $500 to the State). DO NOT SENT THE RENEWAL APPLICATIONS TO THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF REVENUE.

The following must be submitted to the City Clerk's Office no later than 45 days before the expiration of the liquor license:

  • Completed State of Colorado application
  • Check to the Colorado Department of Revenue 
  • Check to the City of Lakewood

Step 1.Download the State of Colorado application if,

you did not receive the renewal application from the State of Colorado

Step 2.Complete all fields in the application

Be sure to include your managers information

Step 3.Submit the completed application and checks to the City Clerk's Office.
