Citywide Paint Recycling Event

Recycle your extra unused paint at this one-day event. Open to all Colorado residents with paint to recycle.

Paint recycling is free (voluntary donations will support Lakewood's Sustainable Neighborhood volunteer programs).

PRODUCTS ACCEPTED:

• House paints: acrylic paint, latex paint , oil paint (alkyd)
• 5 gallon cans or smaller
• Sample sizes too
• Unlimited amounts
• Original labeled containers
• Stains, shellacs, lacquers, sealers, varnishes, urethanes, textured coatings

PRODUCTS NOT ACCEPTED

• aerosol (spray) paint, paint thinners
• solvents, drywall mud, cleaning agents, artist, car and boat paint, etc.
• All types and amounts of paint; aerosol spray paint; solvents; household chemicals; hazardous waste; batteries; light bulbs; compressed gas cylinders; pesticides; old fuel -- can be recycled year-round at the Rooney Road Recycling Center, by appointment only, for a nominal fee.

This event is happening on the same day as Lakewood's City Cleanup Day.
