Celebrate Independence Day in Belmar, the heart of Downtown Lakewood! Join the City of Lakewood and Belmar for a night to remember at a vibrant community celebration on Thursday, July 3 from 5 to 10 p.m.

Get ready for an evening filled with excitement and fun for all ages. Bring your dancing shoes to enjoy the live bands, little ones will be entertained with kids’ activities, a diverse range of local vendors will showcase unique goods, and a wide variety of food and drinks will satisfy any craving. The event is dog friendly!

A few major streets throughout the area will be closed all day July 3 where the event will come alive. Refer to the street closure information in the right side panel of this page for further information.

Live music from the stage on S. Teller St. at W. Alaska Dr. The band The Tracers will play at 5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. There will be a break between 6:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. The band Chris Daniels and the Kings will play at 7:15 p.m. and conclude at approximately 9:10 p.m.

The highlight of the night will be a spectacular drone light show, taking place at approximately 9:15 p.m., rain or shine. Witness a fleet of 250 cutting-edge drones adorned with state-of-the-art LED lights and prepare to be amazed as they illuminate the night with a stunning array of colors and effects, providing an unforgettable experience for all.

MIX 100 will be providing the soundtrack for the drone light show. The radio station will broadcast from the band stage on S. Teller St. and Alaska. Tune into Mix 100.3 FM on your radio or smartphone to listen LIVE to the soundtrack of the show anywhere you view the show.

The event will take place rain or shine. The drone light show may be canceled in the case of excessive winds or poor visibility. The alternate date for the drone light show will be July 5 at approximately 9:15 p.m. There will be no event if the show is delayed until July 5, only a drone light show without music.

W. Alaska Dr. from S. Vance to S. Salisbury St. – all day
S. Teller St. from W. Virginia Ave. to just south of W. Alameda Ave. – all day
S. Upham St. from just north of the Target parking lot to W. Alaska Dr. – all day
W. Virginia Ave. from S. Upham St. in front of the drone launch area to just west of S. Salisbury St. – all day
S. Upham Ct. and S. Teller Ct. around Belmar Square Park from 3 p.m. until approximately 10 p.m. after the drone light show

EVENT ACCESSIBILITY

Accessible ramps will be placed throughout the event along S. Teller St. and W. Alaska Dr. with signage.

PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS

If you are walking to Big Belmar Bash and need to cross Alameda to enter or exit, cross at the light and crosswalk at S. Teller St. and Alameda.
