Volunteers for Lakewood’s Heritage, Culture & the Arts Division each chose an artifact from Heritage Lakewood’s museum collection: something that applies in some way to their volunteer work with the City of Lakewood or speaks to their own personal history of living in Lakewood. These objects, archives and photographs tell a sweeping story of why people stay in Lakewood and why they give their time to volunteer, some of them for more than 25 years.
