The City of Lakewood encourages the formation of neighborhood organizations to take an active role in their community. Registered organizations receive notifications about proposed re-zonings and requests for special use permits within or near the organizations' boundaries. Being a registered organization helps to improve communications between residents within the boundaries and the city. Registered Community Organizations can take the form of larger neighborhoods, smaller homeowners associations and business organizations.
For initial registrations, please fill out the Community Organization Registration Form.
All registered organizations are required to re-register their organization once a year per city policy. These updates ensure that the city has the most current contact information to notify your organization of upcoming land-use cases, planning items or other topics. Staff will send an email notification with re-registration details and the deadline to submit the Re-Registration Form.
You can also update your organization's information at any time. Simply fill out the Update Information Form.
