TRAFFIC AND PARKING CASES
If you have a pending traffic or parking ticket, you may call or email the court clerk at the above number or email address during the days and times listed to have your case resolved or continued.
If you have received a No Proof of Insurance summons, please send proof of your insurance (either for the violation date or current) in by email to prosecution@lakewoodco.org or by fax to 303-716-3762 (your insurance company may be able to do this for you). You MUST have the case number as well as defendant’s name and date of birth on all correspondence.
PAYMENTS DUE
Payments can still be made 1) online through the Lakewood Municipal Court website at municourtportal.lakewood.org. 2) over the phone by calling the court clerk, or 3) by United States Postal Service (USPS) mail. Phone or online payments are preferred.
You may receive a plea bargain that shows a point reduction and payment amount. Payment will act as acceptance of the offer of a plea to a reduced charge.
ALL OTHER OUT-OF-CUSTODY CASES
If your case is not a traffic or parking ticket, please call or email the court at the above number or email address to have your case continued to another date when the court is reopened to the public. If you are on a surety bond, please contact your bondsman to have consent of surety faxed to 303-987-7447 or email the court at courts@lakewoodco.org on the same day you call to reset your case. Please give us your email and phone contact information so that we can keep your informed on the progress of your case.
IN-CUSTODY CASES:
In-custody cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis with the goal of hearing all of them by telephone or electronically with the Jefferson County Jail at 1:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.
VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASES
If you are a victim of domestic violence, please call 303-987-7191 (victim witness advocate) or 303-987-7450 (Municipal Prosecutors Office) with questions or concerns.
PUBLIC DEFENDER REPRESENTATION
If you are represented by the Public Defender’s Office and need to speak to them regarding your case, please call 303-806-8886.
PROBATION
Probation scheduled appointments will be conducted by video or telephone at your scheduled time. For juvenile cases, parents or guardians need to be present by video or telephone as well. If you have any questions, please call 303-987-7440, to speak or leave a message with your probation officer.
MOTIONS, FILINGS, COURT REQUESTS, PROOF OF CLASS OR COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS
If you have a motion, proof of completion of a class or community service hours, or other correspondence for the court, you may email it to the court at courts@lakewoodco.org, fax it to 303-987-7447, or it can be mailed to the Lakewood Municipal Court, 445 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, CO 80226. Electronic submissions are preferred and ALWAYS maintain a copy of whatever documents you are providing to the court if using the USPS mail.
