CanceledSounds Exciting! The Broadcast - CANCELED
Due to Public Health orders and consideration of the health and safety of our residents and employees, all community events are canceled for the summer. These include the Big Boom Bash on July 4, the Rockin' Block Party event and the Summer Concert series. We look forward to celebrating our Lakewood community next year.
Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Caitlin Krisko, The Broadcast is a psychedelic soul rock band hailing from Asheville, NC. Produced by members of Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Broadcast steps into the arena of rock and roll night after night, delivering some of the most electrifying live shows today. Krisko’s sweeping lead vocals range from a whispered hush to a lioness roar, captivating audiences across the United States and Europe.
With a mix of soul, blues and classic rock arrangements, The Broadcast has shared stages and festival lineups with Mavis Staples, John Prine, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, The Wood Brothers, Brandi Carlile, Keller Williams, Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers, George Porter Jr. (Funky Meters), Betty LaVette, Charles Bradley and The Marcus King Band, among others.
Opener: Zoe Berman
Zoe Berman is a singer-songwriter currently based in Denver, Colorado. She plays a mix of soul, jazz, and Americana music. Zoe describes her approach to songwriting as a cathartic release of personal experience mixed with a linguistic puzzle, enabling her to craft tongue-twisting poetry, both lyrically and in her often spontaneous improvisations on the piano. Her music has been described as "bluesy, jazzy and sultry" with songs that are "stretching and dancing from note to note, octave to octave, like a thread being drawn by a musical, vocal needle."
Originally a Connecticut native, Zoe now performs regularly throughout the Front Range region and beyond, accompanying her vocals on piano and guitar, and often playing a hand-built suitcase drum with her feet.
