A Lakewood, Colorado native, Adam Paul has dedicated his life to public service to give back to the community that has given him so much.
Paul was elected to a second term as mayor in 2019. While mayor he has focused on building community collaborations among faith partners, service clubs and those serving the hungry as a way to increase the impact of the work they do. In his final years as mayor, he wants to focus on issues related to Covid recovery and what comes next including affordable housing, homelessness, continued redevelopment of West Colfax and fiscal and environmental sustainability. Before becoming mayor in 2015, Paul served on the Lakewood City Council for eight years and previously served on the Green Mountain Water and Sanitation District Board. Paul is active on many community boards and previously chaired the Metro Mayors Caucus and is the current chair of the Mile High Flood District.
A proud graduate of Green Mountain High School, Paul holds a BA in political science from the University of Colorado. In 2002, he started Colorado Corporate Car, an executive transportation service. His belief that small businesses are the backbone of the community guides his work in the mayor’s office.
Paul faced many challenges in his early life and understands that empathy and compassion must inform public policy decisions at every level. He hopes to serve others in everything that he does.
