Protect our open spaces from alien invaders. Volunteers will arrive in a city park and learn about noxious weeds and how they are impacting natural areas along the Front Range. After learning about these nasty weeds, volunteers will spend time pulling them at the location.
Date and Time
May 2020, 8 a.m.-noon (Date TBA)
Long pants, gloves, a hat, long sleeve shirt, and hiking boots are all recommended. Sunscreen and water bottle are also recommended.
Orientation will be from 8-8:30 a.m.
Food and Beverage
Coffee, water, and snacks will be served from 8:00 am – 9:00 am. Popsicles will be served at noon.
1. Weed Education
Learn about noxious weeds and see what weeds need to be pulled in the park.
2. Pull Noxious Weeds
Use the recently learned information about weeds to go out and help control the weed problem at the location.
3. Enjoy a Snack
Enjoy a popsicle and reflect on a great day's work.
