This event is held annually in early July.
The City of Lakewood presents the biggest and best fireworks extravaganza for the residents of Lakewood and the surrounding areas. There will be a community beer garden, food trucks, music, a kid zone and games and of course a firework show.

Event: Big Boom Bash
Dates/Time: July 4, 2020, 5:30-10 p.m.
Location: Jefferson County Stadium: 500 Kipling Street
Khaki pants or shorts, volunteer t-shirt with logo for Big Boom Bash and comfortable shoes. If the volunteer does not have a volunteer t-shirt, one will be provided upon arrival.
A mandatory two-hour training will be provided the week prior to the event at City Council Chambers.
Food and Beverage
Coffee, water and snacks will be served from 4-8:30 p.m.
Shift: 4:30-10:30 p.m.
4:30-4:45 p.m. — Volunteer Orientation
4:45-10:30 p.m. — Working at position (one 15-minute break will be provided).
Volunteers welcome guests, answer general questions about the event, provide directions and assist with any special needs. (Shaded & Mostly Stand)
Greeter with clicker
Volunteers will welcome guests, answer general questions about the event and provide directions. Will also be responsible for counting guests coming into the stadium by using a clicker.
Volunteers assist guests in identifying and sorting recyclables from refuse (Shaded, Standing & Sitting).
Volunteers assist with setting up food and beverage options for the volunteers, demonstrators and staff.
Volunteers will assist getting patrons onto the field for the firework show and answer any general questions guests might have.
Volunteers will answer general questions and provide directions as needed to the guests.
