The city offers many activities for those age 55 and better to keep minds sharp and bodies active. Browse through the sections above to see a variety of classes, programs and activities offered. Most activities are offered at the Clements Community Center or the city's Recreation Centers.

A great low-impact fitness option, the city offers aqua fitness classes throughout the year at both indoor and outdoor pool locations.

Senior Memberships

Senior memberships give great perks to encourage older adults to stay active.

Fitness activities take place in the recreation centers and in the Clements Community Center. View the fitness calendar and Clements calendar to browse offerings.

Types of Memberships 


The Tivity Health SilverSneakers Fitness Program is specifically designed to encourage eligible members to increase their level of activity and motivate them to continue to be active. If you are Medicare-eligible, check with your healthcare provider to see if your plan qualifies you.

Senior All Access

This fitness and wellness program is designed for adults ages 62 and up.
Cost one person: Annual pass is $280, 3-month pass is $130
Cost household: Annual pass for two people in a household is $500.
Membership can be paid in monthly installments. 


Silver&Fit is designed specifically to help older adults achieve better health through regular exercise and health education. It is provided by American Specialty Health Fitness, Inc., a subsidiary of American Specialty Health Incorporated. If you are Medicare eligible, check with your healthcare provider to see if your plan qualifies you.


  1. Free admission to all four recreation centers.
  2. Free general admission classes designed for you, no matter your fitness level.
  3. Free admission to most aqua fitness classes
  4. 20 percent discount on LesMills and all registration fitness classes.


Drop-In and Free Activities

All activities are held at the Clements Community Center unless otherwise noted.

Drop-in activities require a payment of $2 for each meeting or the purchase of a pass holder card for a fee of $30/$35 nonresident. No fees for SilverSneakers members.

The Clements Community Center has two horseshoe pits ready for action. Shoe rental is free.

Lounge Activities

The free senior lounge located in Clements Community Center is always open for friendly board games or cards. Work on a needlecraft project or a jigsaw puzzle. A lending library of books and magazines is available as well as vending machines.  

Monday Afternoon Movies

Join us at 1 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at the Clements Community Center.

This group makes items for nursing homes such as adult clothing protectors, walker bags and lap robes, plus layette items such as receiving blankets, gowns and pajamas. Donations of fabric and yarn are welcome.

Drop-In Activities  


Men over age 55 are cordially invited to attend weekly meetings where fellowship and helping the community are important. Drop in and meet some new friends! Meets every Monday except holidays, 9-11 a.m.

Duplicate Bridge*

Drop-in with your partner for an afternoon of duplicate bridge. You must have a partner to play!
Meets every Wednesday except holidays, 11:45 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

*The fee for this program is $3.

Friday Afternoon Social Bridge

Contract bridge is played with a change of partners every four hands. You will meet a host of new friends with a strong common bond: the game of bridge. No partner necessary. Passholder card of a $2 drop-in fee is required. Beverages will be provided for a donation.
Meets every Friday except holidays, Noon-3:30 p.m.


Experienced players are invited to come to play this ancient game. Meets every Monday except holidays, Noon-4 p.m.

Needlecraft social

If you like to do handwork, share time with others and enjoy a comfortable and friendly atmosphere, please join us on Wednesday mornings.
We cross-stitch, crochet, knit and tat.  Meets every Wednesday except holidays, 9-11:30 a.m.


Come join other amateur radio enthusiasts for a weekly discussion. Meets every Monday except holidays, 9-11 a.m.


Everyone age 55 and older is welcome to drop in for a game of billiards

Fee: $2 per day, $15 monthly pass, $60 annual pass (free for SilverSneakers® members)
Hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday

Table Tennis

Follow the bouncing ball to a friendly game of table tennis. All experience levels are welcome.
Meets every Wednesday except holidays, 1-4 p.m. and Fridays except holidays, 1-3 p.m.
