Apply for Youth Programs Grant starting March 20

March 1, 2023 – Does your organization provide programs and services supporting youth activities? Apply for a grant from Lakewood’s 2023 Youth Programs Grant.

The Youth Programs Grant is a new opportunity for nonprofit organizations to introduce unique or otherwise cost-prohibitive programming or to support existing programming that serves youth in Lakewood. The application process opens March 20 and closes at 5 p.m. on April 20. The online application and information about the requirements are available at Lakewood.org/YouthProgramGrant.

Grants of up to $100,000 are available for a youth program or organization serving children, with a total of $300,000 to be awarded in 2023, thanks to proceeds from the sale of the Denver Broncos. Project proposals compete directly with other proposals and are evaluated based on criteria including the benefit to Lakewood youth and nonprofit status, with extra credit given to those organizations that provide programs and services to underserved populations. Following a committee evaluation, Lakewood City Council will approve the final selection of the projects to receive grants.
