Concurso de fotos y trivia de “Tu dinero trabajando”
Starting this month, residents should be on the lookout for Your Money at Work signs around the city for a chance to win a prize package.
When residents spot signs with “Project of the Month” on them, they can take their most creative photo of the project and submit it at LakewoodTogether.org/MoneyAtWork along with their story about what the project has meant to them, what memories they’ve created there or how they use the project. A winner will be named each month for the rest of 2022 and again starting in the spring of 2023 to receive a prize package.
Your Money at Work campaign is an effort to update residents on how their tax dollars are put to work in support of the city’s parks, open space and trails. Lakewood residents really love these amenities, with many saying that the quality of the natural environment in Lakewood is one of the most important factors to them.
Banners will also be posted at sites of new parkland purchases, which amount to 117 acres since 2018. Additionally, Mayor Adam Paul thanks residents for their support of parks, open space and trails in a new video.
Residents can participate in this effort in several ways:
- Review the recently completed projects, in progress projects and parkland purchases.
- Join the Project of the Month photo contest to win prizes.
- Try out the monthly trivia.
- Visit the Story Map of the projects.
- Study the funding sources for these amenities.
- Ask the city staff questions.
