Thunder Valley Motocross Park will host the 17th Annual Toyota Thunder Valley Motocross National in Lakewood on Saturday, June 5, which is the 16th time this Lakewood facility has hosted the event. The race is round two of the 2021 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Pro racing will begin at 8 a.m., with races ending by 5:30 p.m.

“Since 1972 the best motocross athletes in the sport have competed in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship,” said David Clabaugh, who operates the facility. “Lakewood has hosted a coveted round at Thunder Valley since 2005, which has provided a significant positive economic impact on the community.”

Every aspect of the event is held outdoors at the 618,051-square-foot park. Event staff and race participants must complete health questionnaires and undergo infrared temperature checks. Face coverings are required, and fan viewing areas will be restricted to comply with physical distancing guidelines. Additionally, handwashing stations and sanitizer will be available in all areas of the park.
