Sounds Exciting! Summer Concert Series kicks off June 17

Lakewood is proud to announce the artist lineup for the 2021 Sounds Exciting! Summer Concert Series at Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park, 801 S. Yarrow St. The outdoor concerts are held at the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Amphitheater with panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains.

Season tickets are $50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 6. The season package includes all six concerts for the price of five and expedited access into the venue through the Fast Pass lane at the main gate. Concerts are Thursday evenings June 17 to July 29. Gates open at 6 p.m., the opening act performs at 6:15 p.m. and the headliner at 7:15 p.m.

  • June 17: Hazel Miller & The Collective (rhythm and blues) with Julia Kirkwood.
  • June 24: The Broadcast (soul) with Zoe Berman.
  • July 8: Dakota Blonde (acoustic folk) with Pennies on the Track.
  • July 15: Andrew McConathy & The Drunken Hearts (Americana) with The ThreadBarons.
  • July 22: Graham Good & The Painters (funky rock 'n' roll) with Foxfeather.
  • July 29: Wood Belly (bluegrass) with The Wrecklunds.

Sounds Exciting! concerts are a great way to enjoy spectacular music, beautiful sunsets and fun summer nights with the whole family. All seating is first-come, first-served lawn seating, with blankets and low-height lawn chairs permitted. Seating areas will not be marked, but the venue capacity will be decreased to create social distancing. Concertgoers can bring picnics or enjoy dining options at food and ice cream trucks and the Beer Garden presented by Foothills Credit Union. A water bottle refill station is on-site.

Purchase tickets at Lakewood.org/SummerConcerts or by calling the box office at 303-987-7845. In addition to season passes, individual tickets will be sold at $10 in advance or $15 day of; and $6 per child age 12 and under.
