Ribbon-cutting for bike lanes
Published on August 09, 2024
The City of Lakewood has reached a significant milestone in its commitment to fostering a safe, accessible and sustainable transportation network. This summer, Lakewood installed the first six lane miles of separated bike lanes in the city, enhancing Lakewood’s bicycle infrastructure and helping to create a complete transportation network.
“Lakewood’s new separated bike lanes represent our commitment to a future where transportation is safer, accessible and inclusive to all road users,” says Lakewood Mayor Wendi Strom. “By installing these bike lanes, we are ensuring that our city supports a variety of transportation options for all residents.”
Come celebrate the completion of this milestone with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring the local bike community.
