Lakewood kicks off summer with a free Rockin’ Block Party June 4
Published on April 01, 2021
Lakewood honors the city’s rich heritage and its residents each year by hosting a free party to kick off the summer season. Join neighbors for live music, local food and a movie on Friday, June 4, from 5 to 11 p.m. at Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park, 801 S. Yarrow St. Tickets are limited and will be released at 6 p.m., April 15, online only at Lakewood.org/RockinBlock. Pending capacity allowances, additional tickets will be released at 6 p.m. on May 27.
This year, dance to favorite '90s tunes covered by local bands Ninety Percent 90s and Just a Girl, then settle in for an outdoor screening of the 1993 classic “Jurassic Park” at dusk. The Beer Garden presented by Foothills Credit Union will be serving local brews alongside popular food truck options.
Reservations for the music and movie must be made separately, with a suggested donation of $5 per person, which will help Lakewood continue to provide low-cost and free events for the community. Jefferson County Public Health guidelines will be strictly followed, to include limited capacity and mask requirements.
Rockin’ Block Party is generously supported by the SCFD, Gravina’s Window Center of Littleton, Foothills Credit Union, Alameda Connects and Tedford Commercial Real Estate.
