Budget and Audit Board: There is one opening for a three-year term starting Jan. 1, 2021. The board typically meets four times a year at 5:30 p.m. on Mondays. Preferred qualifications include possessing a budgeting and strategic financial planning background and having a familiarity with financial statement audits.

Lakewood Advisory Commission: There are several openings for unexpired terms.  Commission members serve as advisers to City Council by researching specific issues or topics of interest to residents to make recommendations for potential action. Visit for more information.

Noxious Weed Local Advisory Board: One opening currently exists for a term that ends May 31, 2022. The board, however, does not review or approve the city’s operational weed management plans for city-owned property. Meetings typically occur one to three times a year for about two hours. Members must be qualified by experience and training in areas such as landscaping, agriculture and natural resource management.
