We believe that all residents should have access to the City of Lakewood’s programs and facilities, regardless of income. If you are a Lakewood resident in need of financial assistance in order to participate, please read the information below and submit an application for the Lakewood Possibilities Fund online or at any Lakewood recreation center to check your eligibility.

Lakewood's Community Resources Department offers Silversmithinghundreds of programs and great facilities for all ages to help you find a new passion, improve your skills, get healthy, stay healthy and have a great time. The possibilities are endless, and by using the Lakewood Possibilities Fund assistance program, you can stretch your dollars further to make the most of what we offer.

 

Possibilities Fund scholarships are awarded based on household income, and a portion of the registration fee is always paid by the participant. Lakewood Residents that qualify can receive up to $300 scholarship assistance per family member per year, based on need and available funding. 

 

 

What can I do with the Lakewood Possibilities Fund?

Lakewood Possibilities Fund scholarships can be used by resident of all ages to:

  • Participate in summer and other break camps
  • Take arts classes
  • Learn to swim
  • Access our recreation centers and swimming pools
  • Get healthy by taking yoga, pilates or any other fitness class and more!

We're recruiting explorers, ballerinas, artists and adventurers to help us have the best summer ever! From sports to singing and engineering to history, we have camps for all ages and interest. Requirements

To ensure these funds are available to those Flag Footballwho need them the most, we need to make sure you live in Lakewood and match our income requirements. Please provide one form of documentation (for the Head of Household listed on the application) for both residency and income as listed. If you are unable to provide proof of residency or income, please explain your situation on the application form so that we can still consider your application.

 

Proof of Residency

  • Driver's license or identification card
  • Utilities bill
  • Lease agreement
  • Vehicle registration
  • Current letter from homeless shelter or support services

 

Proof of Income

  • Pay stubs for the most recent month; please indicate whether you are paid weekly, biweekly or monthly
  • Tax return (most recent year)
  • Unemployment award letter
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) award letter
  • Social Security award letter (AD&D)
  • Current letter from homeless shelter or support services
  • Financial Aid award letter
