Sustainability Plan

SusPlanHeaderTop

The City of Lakewood Sustainability Plan will guide our community in our effort to integrate economic prosperity, social equity, and environmental health. Last fall the City of Lakewood hosted five public open houses. We gathered ideas, shared information and learned about a variety of sustainability related topics from guest speakers and educators.

The second phase of the planning process involves a series of work groups on 6 different topic areas meeting between February and October of 2014. The work groups will be comprised of City staff, industry experts, interested citizens, and other community stakeholders. The work groups will be asked to develop goals and action steps including identifying key community partnerships, potential programs, and policies.

Please be aware there are two separate processes for the Comprehensive and Sustainability Plans.
