Welcome!

We are your fellow Lakewood residents -- friends, neighbors, family -- serving our community as members of the City of Lakewood's Advisory Commission for an Inclusive Community (ACIC).

City Council Resolution 2007-48 established the ACIC in 2007 to serve in an advisory role to City Council, involving citizens more directly to provide public input. In its advisory role, the Commission receives assignments from City Council to research specific issues or topics of interest to the community, and to make recommendations to City Council regarding those issues for potential action. At times, ACIC committees also bring forward initiatives or issues which the Commission feels is important for consideration by City Council.

The Commission's 45 members are appointed by City Council and serve in eight committees covering a wide range of issues.

The entire Commission meets:

  • third Wednesday monthly, 6:30pm
  • Lakewood Civic Center South, 480 S. Allison Parkway, Employee Relations Training Room, 2nd Floor
