RESOLUTION: 2009-55
SUBJECT: City of Lakewood Amended & Restated Deferred Compensation Plan & Trust Agreement
ADDRESS: 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado 80226
RECOMMENDATION: City Council approve and adopt by resolution the Third Amendment to the City of Lakewood Amended & Restated Deferred Compensation Plan & Trust Agreement.

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The City of Lakewood desires to amend the City of Lakewood Amended & Restated Deferred Compensation Plan & Trust Agreement to incorporate mandatory tax law changes from the Heroes Earnings Assistance and Relief Tax Act of 2008 (the “HEART Act”) and the Worker, Retiree, and Employer Recovery Act of 2008 (“WRERA”). In addition, the City of Lakewood desires to amend the City of Lakewood Amended & Restated Deferred Compensation Plan & Trust Agreement to provide for the Trustees to amend the plan.
