A RESOLUTION
AUTHORIZING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE COLORADO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO FUND THE DESIGN AND RECONSTRUCTION OF THE ALAMEDA BIKE PATH FROM KIPLING STREET TO ALLISON PARKWAY
WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood has been awarded $375,000 in federal funds to reconstruct the Alameda bike path; and
WHEREAS, the federal funds require a $250,000 local match from the City of Lakewood; and
WHEREAS, the Colorado Department of Transportation and the City of Lakewood would like enter to into an Intergovernmental Agreement to fund the design and reconstruction of the Alameda bike path.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and the City Clerk to attest an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Colorado Department of Transportation for design and reconstruction of the Alameda Bike Path, in form approved by the City Attorney, in an amount not to exceed Six Hundred Twenty-five Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($625,000) and the City share shall not exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($250,000).
SECTION 2. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to make payments in accordance with the terms of said Intergovernmental Agreement.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 10 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on September 28, 2009, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood City Hall, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
