A RESOLUTION

UPDATING THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD THREE-MILE PLAN FOR ANNEXATIONS.

WHEREAS, the Colorado Revised Statutes require that prior to the completion of any annexation, a municipality shall have in place a plan for the area within three miles of the municipality’s boundary; and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Revised Statutes further state that such a Three-Mile Plan shall be updated at least once annually; and

WHEREAS, the City Council last adopted a Resolution approving the update of the Three-Mile Plan on September 22, 2008; and

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Lakewood adopted the 2009 Three-Mile Plan and recommended City Council approval of the plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado that:

SECTION 1.  The City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado hereby approves the 2009 Three-Mile Plan.

SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall maintain a copy of the 2009 Three-Mile Plan and make said plan available for public inspection during regular business hours.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 11 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on June 8, 2009, at 7 o’clock p.m. at the Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
