REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
RESOLUTION: 2009-24
SUBJECT: Appointing members to the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District Board of Directors.
RECOMMENDATION: Approval
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
At the Lakewood City Council’s July 28, 2003 meeting approval was granted for the creation of the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District (ACBID). Along with this official action, the Council also provided for the organization of the District Board of Directors. Per state statute should any Board Director position become vacant the City Council appoints a qualified elector of the District to fill the vacant Board seat.
The ACBID, at a meeting held May 28, 2009, nominated Roger Pecsok, Kathleen Curtis and Scott Applegate to serve on the Board of Directors. Adoption of this resolution appoints these members to the Alameda Corridor Business Improvement District Board of Directors.
