A RESOLUTION
REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FROM, AND CERTIFYING EXPENDITURES TO, JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE FOR IMPROVEMENT EXPENDITURES OF THE LAKEWOOD TRAIL CONNECTIONS FOR THE PERIOD COMMENCING FROM MAY 1, 2006 THROUGH APRIL 30, 2009.
WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood, Department of Community Resources applied for and received a grant from Jefferson County Open Space Joint Venture Program; and
WHEREAS, upon completion of the project the Jefferson County Open Space Joint Venture Program requires a resolution certifying expenditures from the governing body of the agency that was awarded the grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. The City of Lakewood hereby requests from the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State of Colorado, reimbursement from Jefferson County Open Space, in the amount of one hundred seventy one thousand fifteen dollars ($171,015) for the Lakewood Trail Connection Improvements.
SECTION 2. This Resolution constitutes a certification by the City Council of the City of Lakewood to the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County that the Department of Community Resources of the City of Lakewood has expended one hundred seventy one thousand fifteen dollars ($171,015) for the purpose of completing some Lakewood Trail Connection improvements at the Kipling Dartmouth Trail Spur, the South Kipling Street Bridge Trail Spur and the Sanderson Gulch Trail Connection. This reimbursement is authorized by the Jefferson County Open Space grant awarded to the City of Lakewood for this project in 2006.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 11 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on June 8, 2009, at 7 o’clock p.m. at the Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
