REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
RESOLUTION: 2009-16
SUBJECT: Recruitment of Young Adults into the Advisory Commission for an Inclusive Community for the Youth Committee. This Resolution changes the terms and conditions of the Advisory Commission for Inclusive Community appointments for young adults under the age of 18 or who are still in high school to one year terms, which runs from June 1 to May 31.
RECOMMENDATION: Adopt the resolution.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
The Youth Committee has been in disarray for some months. Currently there is no committee because the members of this committee could not fulfill the current requirement of a three year commitment to the Commission because they are graduating from high school in May 2009.
