SUBJECT: Amendment of 9.80.070 of the Lakewood Municipal Code
RECOMMENDATION: Approval of Ordinance

SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER:
Chapter 9.80 of the Lakewood Municipal Code sets forth a procedure by which
the City can abate nuisances. Section 9.80.070, which relates to summary abatements,
currently does not set forth a clear appeal procedure by which a property owner
may appeal the actions of the City in abating a nuisance. The attached ordinance
adds an appeal procedure to the summary abatement section of Chapter 9.80.
