MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF
CITY OF LAKEWOOD
JUNE 27, 2009
ITEM 1 – CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Murphy called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m. in Employee Relations Conference Room, Lakewood Civic Center South, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
ITEM 2 – ROLL CALL

Full and timely notice of this City Council meeting had been given and a quorum was present.
ITEM 3 – GENERAL BUSINESS
Councilwoman Kellen made a motion to hold an Executive Session to discuss a personnel matter as it relates to the interviews for City Manager; to develop strategy for negotiations with City Manager candidates; to authorize and direct the Mayor to enter into and lead negotiations with City Manager candidates; and to confer with the City Attorney for the purpose of receiving legal advice on specific legal questions relating to the interviews, per C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(b) and (f) and Section 2.15(c)(2) and (8) of the Lakewood Home Rule Charter. It was seconded by Councilman Quinn.
Vote: 11 Ayes. 0 Nays. The motion carried.
ITEM 4 – ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council; Mayor Murphy adjourned the meeting at 7:05 a.m. and the City Council went into an Executive Session.
