MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF
CITY OF LAKEWOOD
MAY 27, 2009
ITEM 1 – CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Murphy called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m. in the City Manager’s Conference Room, Lakewood Civic Center South, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
ITEM 2 – ROLL CALL
Those present were: Mayor Bob Murphy, Presiding
Adam Paul
Debbie Koop
Doug Anderson
Ed Peterson
Sue King
Vicki Stack
Cindy Baroway
Tom Quinn
Diana Allen
Absent: Karen Kellen
Full and timely notice of this City Council meeting had been given and a quorum was present.
ITEM 3 – GENERAL BUSINESS
Councilwoman Koop made a motion to hold an Executive Session for the purpose of discussing a personnel matter as it relates to the interviews for City Manager and to confer with the City Attorney for the purpose of receiving legal advice on specific legal questions relating to the interviews, per C.R.S. 24-6-402(4)(b) and (f) and Section 2.15(c)(8) of the Lakewood Home Rule Charter. It was seconded by Councilman Quinn.
Vote: 10 Ayes. 0 Nays. 1 Absent (Kellen). The motion carried.
ITEM 4 – ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council; Mayor Murphy took Council into an Executive Session. Upon conclusion of the Executive Session, Mayor Murphy adjourned the meeting.
