No parallel existing sidewalk
Right-of-Way is available
Fills a missing link of sidewalk or bike path
Corrects a significant safety hazard
- Vacant parcels and parcels that have potential to re-develop may not be considered since the developer usually builds public improvements such as sidewalks and bike paths.
- Total cost and cost per lineal foot of sidewalk or bike path will be a factor compared among competing sites.
- Is the sidewalk or bike path relatively easy to construct?
- Is a three-foot wide all-weather walking surface already in place?
