A RESOLUTION
REQUESTING REIMBURSEMENT FROM, AND CERTIFYING EXPENDITURES TO, JEFFERSON COUNTY OPEN SPACE FOR IMPROVEMENT EXPENDITURES OF THE WHITLOCK INLINE HOCKEY RINK FOR THE PERIOD COMMENCING FROM MAY 1, 2007 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30, 2008
WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood, Department of Community Resources applied for and received a grant from Jefferson County Open Space Venture Program; and
WHEREAS, upon completion of the project the Jefferson County Open Space Venture Program requires a resolution certifying expenditures from the governing body of the agency that was awarded the grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:
SECTION 1. The City of Lakewood hereby requests from the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State of Colorado, reimbursement from Jefferson County Open Space, in the amount of one hundred ten thousand dollars ($110,000) for the Whitlock Inline Hockey Rink Improvements.
SECTION 2. This Resolution constitutes a certification by the City Council of the City of Lakewood to the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County that the Department of Community Resources of the City of Lakewood has expended one hundred ten thousand dollars ($110,000) for the purpose of doing some improvements at the Whitlock Inline Hockey Rink. This reimbursement is authorized by the Jefferson County Open Space grant awarded to the City of Lakewood for this project in 2005.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 11 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on December 8, 2008, at 7 o'clock p.m. at the Lakewood Civic Center, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
