RESOLUTION: 2008-70
SUBJECT: Resolution accepting two Commissioners Deeds for the South Sheridan Field Park located at 5445 West Ohio Avenue.
ADDRESS: City Park located at 5445 West Ohio Avenue.
RECOMMENDATION: Adoption of this Resolution accepting the conveyance of the park to the City of Lakewood.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: City Council passed Resolution 2007-21 on April 23, 2007, authorizing the City to acquire two parcels of land for park and open space for South Sheridan Fields Park. The first parcel (5370 West Ohio Avenue) was acquired December 26, 2007, and the second parcel (5445 West Ohio Avenue) was completely acquired on September 8, 2008). City staff worked with the Open Space staff at Jefferson County to acquire these parcels for the South Sheridan Field Park using the City's attributable Open Space Funds.
