A RESOLUTION

FOR THE APPROVAL OF THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY RESOURCES MASTER PLAN AS AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAKEWOOD COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood Planning Commission adopted the Lakewood Comprehensive Plan on February 19, 2003; and

WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood City Council approved the Lakewood Comprehensive Plan on May 12, 2003; and

WHEREAS, the Lakewood Comprehensive Plan identifies the update of the Department of Community Resources Master Plan as an Action Step of the Lakewood Comprehensive Plan; and

WHEREAS, the Lakewood Comprehensive Plan further identifies that the updated Master Plan be adopted as an Amendment to the Lakewood Comprehensive Plan; and

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the Department of Community Resources Master Plan, with notice made and published in the Newspaper of Record as required by State Statutes; and

WHEREAS, the Lakewood Planning Commission adopted the Department of Community Resources Master Plan on April 16, 2008; and

WHEREAS, the City Council has conducted a regular meeting on the proposed Department of Community Resources Master Plan; and

WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the public testimony received, the action of the Planning Commission, and the staff report and recommendation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lakewood, Colorado, that:

SECTION 1. The Department of Community Resources Master Plan, as presented to the City Council on April 28, 2008, is hereby approved as an Amendment to the Lakewood Comprehensive Plan.

SECTION 2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to affix their signatures on this Resolution and on the Department of Community Resources Master Plan as evidence of the approval and adoption of the same by the City Council.

INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED by a vote of 11 for and 0 against at a regular meeting of the City Council on April 28, 2008, at 7 o'clock p.m. at Lakewood Civic Center South, 480 South Allison Parkway, Lakewood, Colorado.
