ORDINANCE: O-2008-21
SUBJECT: Ordinance vacating a sanitary sewer easement across the Lots 2, 3, & 4; Lakewood Acres Subdivision at 641, 649, & 665 Independence Street.
ADDRESS: 641, 649, & 665 Independence Street.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this vacation.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The Sewer Line Easement originally deeded to South Lakewood Sanitation District (which the City of Lakewood is their successor) by instrument recorded in Book 879, Page 168 & 171, of the Jefferson County records described a 16 foot wide strip of land running through the center of several lots in the vicinity of Lakewood High School and Independence Street. The physically constructed sewer line that passes through these lots was constructed to the West of the deeded easement. Three property owners who own lots that have the sewer line running through their property have conveyed easements to the City for the correct location of the constructed sewer line.
