ORDINANCE: O-2008-15
SUBJECT: Ordinance authorizing the City to convey an easement to Public Service Company for utility lines across the property owned by the City of Lakewood located at 8750 West 14th Avenue.
ADDRESS: 8750 West 14th Avenue.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this ordinance authorizing conveyance of the easement to Public Service Company.
FUNDING SOURCE: NA
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: Due to the construction of the light rail for Fast Tracks along West 13th Avenue the existing utility line along portions of this project have to be relocated. Public Service is relocating a portion of the utility line to West 14th Avenue. As a result of the relocation to West 14th Avenue, Public Service needs an easement from the City across our property at 8750 West 14th Avenue. The easement is necessary to allow Public Service Company to install the utility lines across the City's property. Staff has reviewed the location of the utility lines and determined that it is in the right location and will not interfere with the future use of the City land.
