ORDINANCE: O-2008-13
SUBJECT: Ordinance vacating cul-de-sac eyebrow in West Alameda Place right-of-way immediately West of South Hoyt Street.
ADDRESS: 9562 & 9582 West Alameda Place.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of this vacation.
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: The owners of the properties adjacent to this cul-de-sac eyebrow have occupied this right-of-way for some time. A portion of the house at 9582 West Alameda Place lies within the cul-de-sac right-of-way. All street and sidewalk improvements have been constructed within the West Alameda Place Right-of-Way, therefore, the need for the right-of-way for the cul-de-sac eyebrow is not needed. The large vacant tract of land to the West was recently subdivided. West Alameda Place will continue to the West allowing through traffic eliminating the need for this cul-de-sac turn around. City staff has initiated this request and have no concerns.
