SUBJECT: Redrawing the boundaries of wards within the City of Lakewood to include recent annexed lands
RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the ordinance
FUNDING SOURCE: N/A
SUMMARY AND BACKGROUND OF SUBJECT MATTER: Annexations of lands known as "Colorado Academy" and "Denver Federal Center" have prompted the need to include these lands within the ward boundaries for the City. Adoption of this ordinance allows for the Colorado Academy property to be included in Ward 5 and the Denver Federal Center to be included in Ward 1.
